In a surprising crossover event that breaks traditional predictions, Ubisoft has unveiled an virtual collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the renowned anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected Thanksgiving event operates from November 25 through December 22, including free bonus story content for Shadows players.

According to the authorized release, "An unusual encounter draws characters Naoe and Yasuke into a original adventure, where whispers of prohibited rituals and fearsome changes reverberate through the darkness." The storyline features a "unusually garbed woman named Ada" who tasks the characters with journeying into the Crystalline Cavern—a key location from Attack on Titan—to save her friend from a hidden sect.
The mission concentrates on "bizarre trials and a monstrous enemy" and is open to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.

The preview showcases the Hidden Temple from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was previously where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through generations. The teaser ends with a striking sequence showing a character, likely the hostage, changing into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.
